Josh Carson

Josh Carson brings a lifelong connection to the water and a deep understanding of the yachting lifestyle to his role as Yacht Broker with Massey Yacht Sales. Born at Camp Lejeune, a Naval base in North Carolina, Josh grew up around the ocean with a Marine father who was also a professional surfer. From an early age, he was in, on, under, or near the water, building the foundation for his love of boating, diving, cruising, and helping others enjoy life on the water.

Josh’s roots run deep along the Florida Gulf Coast. His family helped shape parts of St. Petersburg, Longboat Key, and Anna Maria, where he grew up surrounded by the local boating community. At just 18, he earned both his Florida Yacht Broker License and 100-Ton Master Captain License in 1991, later adding his Dive Master certification in 2001.

Over a lengthy career in yacht sales, yacht brokerage, and charter management, Josh has built his reputation on professionalism, hands-on experience, and genuine care for his customers. After moving to Tortola in the British Virgin Islands in 1997, he founded and operated a successful yacht brokerage and fully crewed charter company. Whether working with a first-time buyer, an experienced owner, or a family searching for the right vessel, Josh enjoys guiding customers through the process and helping them spend more time doing what they love—being on the water.

Josh also has several thousand miles of offshore delivery experience as a captain on both power and sail yachts, with travels throughout the Caribbean, U.S. East Coast, Cuba, and the Gulf of Mexico. After Hurricane Irma displaced him from the British Virgin Islands, Josh returned to his Florida roots. Today, he brings broad maritime knowledge, steady professionalism, and an approachable style to every client relationship at Massey Yacht Sales.
