Massey Yacht Sales & Service

Here for You, Start to Finish

Customer Support

From financing your purchase to keeping your yacht in top shape, our team supports you throughout your ownership journey.

How We Support You

Financing Solutions

We introduce you to marine lenders who understand yachts, and help you assemble what they ask for, so financing does not hold up a purchase.

Commissioning & Outfitting

A new boat is rigged, launched and fitted out by our own service team before you take delivery — safe and ready to use from day one.

Maintenance & Service

Yard work, rigging and mechanical support at our marinas, and vetted trades where we cannot do the job ourselves.

Frequently Asked Questions

The questions buyers and sellers ask us most. Anything not answered here, ask a broker — we would rather tell you than have you guess.

Do I need my own broker to buy a listed yacht?

No. You are welcome to work directly with the Massey broker handling the listing, and many buyers do. If you already have a broker you trust, we work with them too — a co-brokered sale costs you nothing extra.

Can I see a boat that is not at one of your marinas?

Yes. Our Mobile Brokers cover the coast from Naples, Florida to Newport, Rhode Island, and we will arrange a viewing wherever the boat is lying. Tell us which listing and we will set it up.

Should I have a survey done?

On a brokerage boat, yes — we recommend one on every used purchase, and your lender and insurer will almost certainly require it. You choose and pay the surveyor so the report is genuinely yours; we can suggest surveyors who work in the area.

How long does a brokerage sale take?

From accepted offer to closing, most sales run a few weeks — enough time for survey, sea trial, any negotiated repairs, and the paperwork. Documentation and lender timing are usually what set the pace.

What is my boat worth?

Ask us for a competitive market analysis. A broker looks at what comparable boats have actually sold for, not what they are asking, and comes back with a realistic range for yours.

What does Massey do to market a listing?

Professional photography, a full listing on the major brokerage networks, our own site and buyer database, and a broker who knows the class. Our selling process page walks through it step by step.

Do you take trades?

Often, yes — particularly against a new Jeanneau. Talk to a broker about your boat and what you are moving to, and we will tell you what we can do.

What happens after I take delivery?

Our Five Star Orientation programme walks a new owner through their boat on the dock, through the electronics, and then underway — so you leave comfortable handling her yourself, not just holding the keys.

Where are you, and when can I reach you?

Regatta Pointe Marina in Palmetto, Florida and Mystic Shipyard in Mystic, Connecticut. A broker replies to every enquiry — most the same business day.
