Greg Zigmont
Greg was raised in Connecticut and graduated from Avon High School before beginning his college education at Providence College. He later transferred to the University of New Haven, where he earned a Bachelor’s degree in Law Enforcement and Forensic Science, studying under renowned forensic scientist Dr. Henry Lee.
Greg dedicated over 15 years to the East Hartford Police Department, advancing from patrol officer to lieutenant. His leadership roles included Internal Affairs commander, evening patrol shift commander, and officer in charge of the department’s firearms training program. He later served as an Inspector with the Connecticut Division of Criminal Justice—the state’s highest law enforcement rank—investigating complex cases involving financial crimes, public corruption, and cold case homicides. He also served as lead instructor for the division’s firearms and use-of-force training.
A lifelong boating enthusiast, Greg developed his passion for sailing in his youth and went on to own multiple sailboats, including a Marlow Hunter 40. His positive experiences working on several boat purchases with Springline Yacht Sales inspired a career transition, and in 2025 he joined Massey at Springline as a mobile broker. With hands-on experience in both sail and power vessels, Greg provides clients with knowledgeable, trustworthy guidance. During boating season, he enjoys cruising the Southern New England coast with his wife and two dogs aboard his Ranger Tug, JACK.
“My career has always been grounded in integrity, honesty, and trust,” Greg says. “Those same values guide me in helping clients achieve their boating dreams.”
